Built so it works for everyone

Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: April 30, 2026Effective: April 30, 2026

Our commitment

Lumo Studios LLC designs Lumio Copilot and the lumio.lumo-studios.com website to be usable by people with the widest possible range of abilities. We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the website, and to support the full set of iOS accessibility features in the App.

In the iOS app

Lumio Copilot is built natively for iOS and supports Apple's standard accessibility frameworks. Specifically:

  • VoiceOver — All interactive controls expose accessible labels, traits, and hints. Voice-only navigation is fully supported.
  • Dynamic Type — Text scales with the user's system text-size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes.
  • Reduce Motion — When Reduce Motion is enabled in iOS Settings, animations, transitions, and parallax effects are removed or replaced with crossfades.
  • Color contrast — Text and meaningful UI elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and non-text elements).
  • Increase Contrast and Smart Invert — Respected via standard system colors and semantic styling.
  • Focusable controls — Every actionable element is reachable and operable via Switch Control, keyboard, and Voice Control.
  • Hit targets — Tappable controls meet or exceed the 44 × 44 point minimum.
  • Haptics & sound — Non-essential haptics and sounds can be disabled. Information is never conveyed by sound or haptic alone.

On this website

The marketing site is built with accessibility in mind:

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and proper heading hierarchy.
  • A “Skip to content” link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected at the root — all animations and transitions are reduced to near-zero duration when the user's OS reports a preference for reduced motion.
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful imagery; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology with aria-hidden or empty alt.
  • Color-contrast verified against WCAG AA across the cream/ink palette.
  • No accessibility overlay widgets — we believe these obscure rather than improve real accessibility.
  • Forms are not used on this site at v1.0; if added, they will include programmatic labels and clear error messages.

Known limitations

We are honest about where we are. As of April 30, 2026:

  • The website has been tested in-house using axe-core, Lighthouse, and manual VoiceOver / keyboard checks. It has not yet been audited by an external accessibility firm. We expect to commission a third-party audit before reaching wider distribution.
  • The iOS app is in active development; some interactions are still being refined for the smoothest experience with VoiceOver and Switch Control. Specific issues you encounter are valuable — please report them.
  • Some hand-drawn brand illustrations are decorative and may not convey additional information to assistive technologies. Where an illustration carries meaning, an accessible description is provided.
